VIRTUAL TEAM LEADERSHIP - SPECIAL CHALLENGES FOR MANAGERS
Keywords:
VIRTUAL, TEAM LEADERSHIP, MANAGERSAbstract
Police managers find themselves in a situation - currently intensified by the Corona pandemic in which teams no longer work locally at one location, but are instead dispersed across locations through teleworking, mobile working and due to organisational circumstances. This means that employees are no longer directly accessible, controllable and controllable for the manager. Due to the increasing virtuality of the teams, the aspects of care and socialising must also be considered in particular and taken into account in virtual leadership. This raises the question of the extent to which these new framework conditions affect the organisation and leadership. Against this background, police organisations are currently dealing with the question of how leadership at a distance can be designed in the future.
